Imagine being in a place far away from home without your family and it is Valentine's Day, Easter or Christmas.....Holidays are the hardest for our soldiers!  Packages from Hero Hugs help to brighten their day and let our troops know that people back home think of them and appreciate their service and sacrifice! 

Here is how you can help....

1. Email us at HeroHugs2004@aol.com with your name and mailing address so that we can send you a Yellow Ribbon Packet. (Please be sure you check with your mom and dad and get their permission first...you can tell them that Hero Hugs is a 501(c)3 organization and will not share your information with anyone).

2. When you get your packet in the mail you will find ten Yellow Ribbon cards in the packet.  Ask you family, friends and neighbors to help out by sponsoring a Yellow Ribbon card with a $10.00 donation.  Please do not ask strangers to donate...only ask people you know. 

3. Give the person the Yellow Ribbon card and let them write a message on the card to a soldier.  Collect their $10.00 donation (checks made payable to Hero Hugs please) and return it to the packet. 

4. There is a form in the packet for you to fill out with your information so we know who the packet came from.  Please be sure to fill it out and leave it in the packet.  Once you have sponsors for all the Yellow Ribbon cards (or as many as you can), seal the packet and apply postage and simply put it in the mail.

5. Every Yellow Ribbon card that gets a sponsor means a package is sent to a deployed troop.  We will place the Yellow Ribbon card with the message from the donor inside of the package. 

Here is some really exciting news....

Every kid who joins the Hero Hug's team and gets ten Yellow Ribbon cards sponsored will be entered into a drawing for an I-Pod!!  To qualify for the drawing your packet must be postmarked by September 15, 2010.  The drawing will take place on September 30, 2010.  Once you finish your first packet, you are welcome to request another.  Each ten Yellow Ribbon cards you get sponsored will give you an entry into the drawing.

Helping means you will be a valuable part of the Hero Hug's team and troops get the much deserved thanks and appreciation from back home!  Our goal is to get 1,000 Hero Hug's Ambassadors to help us get packages sponsored.  That would be another 10,000 packages sent to our deployed troops!  Be sure to tell your friends and help us make the upcoming holidays a little better for our troops serving away from their families and homes.

Schools can take part in our Yellow Ribbon Project too!  If your school gets 1500 Yellow Ribbon cards sponsored, our President and Founder, Bailey will come do a packing with students at your school!  It is a fun and rewarding experience students won't forget!!
