We Need Cash Donations! Our biggest expense is shipping and we are always in need of cash donations to cover this expense. Donations can be sent to Hero Hugs, P.O. Box 27, Niceville, FL 32588. We also are happy to accept gift cards for stores like Walmart, Kmart, JoAnn's and Michael's Craft store so we can purchase needed supplies for our packages. Gift Cards may also be sent to the above address. We wish we could personally thank each and every person who donates, but time just does not allow us to do so. So please know that your donation is greatly appreciated and putting a smile on the face of a soldier serving away from their loved ones! We couldn't have done this without all their support from our friends!
Attention School Teachers, Scout Leaders, Club Leaders and Sunday School Teachers.....Cards Needed! We are always in need of cards for our appreciation packages to soldiers. All year long we are in need of general/patriotic thank-you cards for the troops. We also always need Get Well Cards for our wounded soldier care packages. Our most popular get well card uses a band aid which is then made into something in a drawing. For example, the band aid could be a surfboard and then draw a surfer on top or the band aid could serve as the body for a drawing of a horse or the neck on a giraffe. Feel free to decorate the cards as you wish (the more creative the better) however we ask that cards be made on cardstock no larger than 4" x 5.5" when folded in half. We also ask that you not use glitter on the cards because it makes quite the mess! Please sign the cards (you do not have to use a last name)...the troops really like knowing who made and wrote the card. Throughout the year, we also need various holiday related cards. Our packages must be shipped about two weeks prior to the holiday, so please have your holiday cards to us by the following dates: 4th of July - June 10, 2012 Halloween - October 9, 2012 Veteran's Day - October 28, 2012 Thanksgiving - November 4, 2012 Christmas - December 1, 2012 Valentine's Day - January 26, 2013 St. Patrick's Day - February 23, 2013 Easter - April 4, 2013 4th of July - June 10, 2013 *Please mail completed cards to Hero Hugs, Attention: Bailey Reese, P.O.
